Uruguay 1-3 Costa Rica Highlights 2014 World Cup [Group D]

On the second day of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, a total of 3 games were played, one from Group A between Mexico and Cameroon and the other 2 from Group B. In the rematch of the 2010 World Cup final, Netherlands thrashed Spain 5-1 in what will be regarded as the biggest upset of the 2014 World Cup so far. Spain took the lead in the first half through a Xabi Alonso penalty but Netherlands levelled the score following a brilliant acrobatic finish from Robin van Persie. The second half saw a flurry of goals from the Dutch, and Spain were totally demolished on the night.

In the other 2 matches, Mexico eased to a 1-0 victory over Cameroon in the Group A match while in the other Group B match, Chile earned a well deserved victory 3-1 over the Australians and they are now on the second place in Group B.
