The much awaited sale of FIFA World Cup 2014 tickets will start on 20 August,2013 at 10.00 am G.M.T (7.00 am B.R.T). Football fans from around the world can purchase the tickets through the official website of FIFA. A total of 3 million tickets will be on sale during 3 different phases of sale. Here’s a list of prices which fans will have to pay to watch a match at the Football World Cup, 2014.

For Brazil residents, the cheapest tickets priced BRL 30(USD 15) will be available to students, over 60s and members of some social programs for 47 of the 48 group matches(except the opening match that costs BRL 80). For local fans, the cheapest non-discounted tickets would be priced at BRL 60(USD 30).
For International Fans, the price of the tickets will range from USD 90 to USD 175 for 47 of the 48 group matches(again except the opening match where ticket prices would range from USD 220 to USD 495).
For the Final match on July 13, international fans will have to pay from USD 440 to USD 990 in 3 different category bands.
Furthermore to ensure fair opportunity,
- Atleast 400,000 discounted tickets(BRL 30) will be sold to Brazil residents out of a total of 3 million tickets.
- A maximum of four tickets per match for up to seven matches may be purchased per household.
- At least 1% of the total quantity of purchasable tickets will be made available for disabled customers.
The first round of sales begins on 20 August,2013 and ends on 10 October,2013. During this period, fans may submit their ticket application. At the end, all the applications will be processed and if the no. of applications exceed the no. of tickets available, a random draw will take place to determine the successful applicants for the respective matches.
The second round of sales runs from Dec. 8, 2013 until April 1, 2014, with final sales taking place from April 15.
