Klose will also have his sights firmly set on the World Cup record, which is currently held by Ronaldo. Ronaldo has scored 15 goals in the World Cup, while Klose is just one goal short of equaling the record.

Germany scored an easy 6-1 win over Armenia with goals from Schurrle, Podolski, Howedes, Klose and Gotze securing a comfortable visctory for Joachim Low’s men. However, the match was marred by a serious ankle injury to Marco Reus, that has put the Borussia Dortmund’s World Cup hopes in doubt. Reus’ injury will be a major blow for Germany as they look to end their World Cup drought, a tournament they last won 24 years ago. Germany are one of the favorites to win the World Cup trophy, and they start their World Cup campaign against Portugal on June 16.
